| We want Restoration Community
Church to be a place of spiritual restoration for all
people…and we believe that we exist…
- To Restore God’s heart in worship
- To Restore God’s family through nurturing
small groups
- To Restore God’s kingdom in evangelism and
missions.
The first two points are a direct outgrowth of our
mission to KNOW CHRIST.
The third is an extension of our mission to MAKE CHRIST
KNOWN.
We envision a church that will be filled with a passion
to Know Christ more, being committed to developing a
passion in all of our members to personally know and
experience Christ in our daily lives as the apostle
Paul longed to know Christ above all other things. (Philippians
3:8-11)
We envision a church that is passionate in its expression
of love to God through worship. Since we were created
to worship Him, We believe that Christ-centered worship
needs to be a priority for our church. We see a worship
that is personal, alive, passionate, and spiritual,
inspiring everyone who participates to love Christ more.
(John 4:23-24; Ephesians 1:12; 5:17-20)
We envision a church that is committed to creativity
and individuality in expressing our personal worship
through our lives, Since God is the author of creativity,
we see a church that will be committed to creating opportunities
for people to create and pursue their passions and gifts
for the Glory of the Lord.
We envision a church that will be committed to the development
and equipping of growing believers in Christ, both in
Christ like character, as well as in the gifts and skills
that will be used for ministry, so that we will all
be more effective in our witness and ministry in the
world. (Hebrews 13:20-21)
We envision a church that will be a family, committed
to loving one another regardless of the outward differences,
and building a community of genuine love. We see relationships
that are meaningful and real, in which we can help nurture
one another, as well as encourage and challenge one
another as we collectively seek to grow in Christ. We
see this coming primarily through our small group ministries,
but also through fellowship and other opportunities
to share in one another’s lives together. (John
15:12-13, 17)
We envision a church that will be shaped in membership
by the people that God leads us to, in our schools,
our workplaces, and our neighborhoods, as we intentionally
reach out to everyone in the Love of Christ. (Acts 1:8)
We envision a church that will be committed to world
missions, and bringing the message of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to those that have never heard. We see
a church that will be committed to not only sending,
but GOING. (Matthew 28:18-20) |
